South Africa: Jacob Zuma paying tribute to teachers

The South African president, Jacob Zuma, announced his admiration for the teachers of his country underlining that they helped his government to create a better life for all.

Besides, the South African teachers helped a lot for the freedom and the development of the country, declared Zuma on Monday during the celebration of October as « World Teachers Month« .

« During October, we celebrate the role played by teachers in the construction of a better future. In the name of the government and the people of South Africa, I thank all the teachers for their hard work and their devotion« , declared the president.

« Your contribution, your experience, your knowledge and skills are essential if we want to reach excellence in education and create a better life for all« .

He thanked education actors for their tireless work and wished through this opportunity that the World Teachers Month « inspires us all together to make of education in South Africa a model« , concluded President Zuma.
