Water and infrastructures in Africa: the ADB inverting 256 million dollars

The very first meeting on Monday of the African Development Bank (BAD) directors, since the return of the institution in Côte d’Ivoire, was beneficial for Africa.

A 256 million dollar disbursement intended for the financing of infrastructures and the access to water in Africa, was approved.

The agreements concern a privileged 150 million dollar loan for the building of a unique seaport in the free trade area of Lagos, according to a communiqué from the institution.

That also counts to contribute at the level of 5 million dollars to the implementation of the Kukuza Project Development Company (KPDC), a new company that sets up the conception and preparation of African infrastructures projects.

Moreover, the Board meeting also approved a 91,10 million dollar loan and a subsidy for a technical support at the level of 10,06 million dollars to finance the water, cleaning up and hygiene big programs of Ethiopia.
