Five hundred million dollars; It is the paltry sum the world leader of company software, Systems Applications Products Societas Europaea (SAP SE) is going to invest in Africa by 2020 according to a communiqué published on Tuesday.

This financial envelope will be invested in the skills improvement of the local talents through the training of 10 000 consultants as well as in the growth acceleration of the company on the continent through its hubs in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Angola and Morocco.

« The major part of the direct investment will be made outside South Africa where SAP already has a significant presence« , underlined the communiqué.

« The African market is unique as regards to its growth potential. The Board meeting of SAP firmly believes that it is the good time to move to an upper level regarding development in Africa« , declared Robert Enslin (picture), member of the Management Board of the German multinational.
