Ivory Coast: Dominique Ouattara grants 100 million to women of Agboville

African first ladies do not want any more to stay in the shadow of her husband. After Sylvia Bongo who is cumulating actions in favor of Gabonese women, it is now the turn of Dominique Ouattara to help women of Agboville. This act of the first lady of Ivory Coast is estimated at 100 million of FCFA.

Women of Agboville celebrated last Saturday Women’s Day with the first lady of Ivory Coast. Dominique Ouattara granted to the women of the village 90 million francs in kind among which of sewing machines, computer material, household electrical devices, hospitalization and sanitary facilities, cycles for handicapped persons as well as foods for vulnerable persons.

Dominique Ouattara also granted 10 million Francs in cash to women’s organizations of the village. « This year, I want to celebrate this day particularly dedicated to mothers with you my sisters of Agboville to show you all my affection », indicated Mrs Ouattara before announcing to the population, the creation of a support fund which will allow women to benefit from loans to boost their economic activities.

On 22nd May, the first lady of Ivory Coast who sponsored the opening ceremony of the second woman-researcher scientific days (JSFC) offered a multimedia room to Félix Houphouet-Boigny University and of material for handicapped persons.
