He does not satisfy himself with staying in office consulting patients, giving prescriptions and distributing condoms. He is doing more by going to the help of the poorest populations in Africa through his NGO Aimes-Afrique, Doctors International Association for the development of Education and Health in Africa. Bringing the hospital towards the populations, such is his creed.

We hint at the Togolese, Dr Serge Michel Kodom, CEO and founder of this NGO that has as mission to make itinerant surgical operations.

Teams of Aimes Afrique composed of ENT, ophthalmologists, stomatos, gynecologists, also assure the training health staff and proceed to campaigns of information and raising sensitization towards the populations.

During a recent campaign of itinerant medicine in Binah district in the North of Togo, the surgical operations allowed to successfully operate 280 patients over 333 in 3 days.

Economic and social member of the UNO council, the organization has to its credit more than 300 humanitarian medical – surgical missions in 6 countries of Africa and more than 10.000 surgical operations free  of charge realized in very far away hamlets and villages.

Far from making his biography, Dr Kodom is an internist doctor and manager of the Private clinic Immaculate Conception located in Lomé. He participates and presents international meetings in diverse domains, health in particular.

Approved Expert at the courts of Togolese Republic, he is a specialist in education for health and certified in infectious diseases and liver at the Université Pierre Marie Curie, Paris 5.

He is moreover a honorary president of students in medicine and pharmacy of the Université de Lomé, chevalier of the order of Mono for services provided for the nation.

Several distinctions and prizes were awarded to Dr Kodom and all his team for the quality approach of which the NGO Aimes-Afrique is part.

It founder belonged to the list of the most remarkable 10 young people in the world in 2011, according to the Junior Chamber International (JCI).
