The 15th edition of the Kundé d’or (Golden Kundé), the greatest award ceremony for the artist musicians in Burkina Faso, will take place on 24th April of this year in Ouagadougou.
The artists Dez Altino, Sana Bob and Dicko Fils are nominated this year in the category of the Kundé d’or 2015. Among these three names, kindly note that Dez Altino is competing to win his 2nd Kundé d’or after that of 2013.
In addition to the category of the Kundé d’or, Dicko Fils is nominated in two other categories of which that of the most played artist in night clubs with Floby and Sofiano, and the best modern song of traditional inspiration with Prince Wendemi and Del Altino.
Other details, the young Sofiano who, in addition to the Kundé of the most played artist in night clubs, is listed in the category of the Kundé of the hope and the Kundé of the Burkinabe best featuring.
This news was given on Wednesday by the Kundé general commissioner, Salfo Soré alias Jah Press, during a press conference during which, all the 15 categories of the competition were published.
According to the organizers, the works are increasing regarding those of last year (399 musical works selected against 301 during the previous edition).
To be nominated for the Kundé d’or, you must be a Burkinabe artist, author of at least two musical works which recent release (between 1st March 2014 and 28th February 2015) got a commercial and media success.
Besides, the artist should prove the promotion of his work (clip, press book, etc.) and show a progress in the organization of his career (organization of the managerial staff, the marketing techniques…).
For this edition, the artists will thus be rewarded in 15 categories among which 10 for the main prizes and 5 for the special prizes following the criteria well defined.
« In every category, 3 artists are nominated after a meticulous work done by a monitoring watchdog« , specified Boureima Djiga, commissioner in charge of the artists selection.
« Thanks to the work of this monitoring watchdog, we succeeded in listing 399 works and 350 clips all tendencies included, over the period corresponding to Kundé, meaning from 1st March 2014 to 28th February 2015« , added the latter.
Finally, in the organization of the Kundé 2015, we note the institution of the Kundé of the « best artist from East Africa » in the special Prizes section.
