End of the ECOWAS 45th summit last Friday in Accra, Ghana. Almost all of the Heads of State got back to their various countries after two days of works.
The first to have arrived in Accra, the Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, was the first to get back to his country on evening. He was followed by his counterparts of Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo.
The other Presidents, mainly those of Senegal, Niger and Mali also said goodbye to their counterpart, John Mahama, the president of Ghana and the ECOWAS serving president.
During two days that lasted this meeting, the participants exchanged on the current questions in particular the single currency, the abolition of the residence permit, the Ebola epidemic and the safety of the sub region.
Let us note that Guinea-Bissau that recently organized the presidential and local elections got its reintegration in the Community.
Electoral days are also looming ahead for Ivory Coast, Togo as well as for some other countries.
