Cultural mixing between Jamaica and Ghana with the union of Sharon Marley Prendergast, the daughter of Bob Marley, the world legend of reggae song, and a Ghanaian, Ekow Alabi Savage.
Ekow and Sharon are henceforth, husband and wife at the end of a marriage with great fanfare on last 13th May in Accra, in the presence of the members of families, close relations and friends as well as several personalities.
Rita Marley, the mother of Sharon who was absent in the ceremony because of journey to the USA, was represented by Erica Bennett, the ambassadress of Diaspora of African Forum (DAF).
Reminding the title of one of the songs of the late Bob Marley, « No woman, No cry« , Erica Bennett Ekow, exhorted the bridegroom to do her utmost so that tears of sadness are never noted in the eyes of his wife.
Kindly note that Rita Marley has settled down in Ghana since 90s and got Ghanaian nationality. Having adapted herself to Ghanaian culture, she took a second first name, so her full name reads Nana Rita Marley.
Sharon is a singer, a dancer and a curator; her husband Ekow also is in music business.
