Ivory Coast: Alassane Ouattara offered 2 billion F CFA to the Elephants

The Elephants of Ivory Coast are winners of the 30th edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2015) competed in Equatorial Guinea. Welcomed like hero on Monday in Abidjan, Yaya Touré and his colleagues will receive each, one villa for 30 million FCFA and 30 million FCFA cash.

The French technician, Hervé Renard, the trainer of the national team will receive 75 million FCFA. An envelope of 300 million of FCFA is offered to the technical and administrative staff. That is the decision from the president of Republic, Alassane Ouattara.

According to Abidjan.net site, the executive committee of Ivorian federation of football gets 250 million FCFA, whereas the national committee for the support to the Elephants receives 35 million FCFA and 20 million FCFA for the journalists who were in Equatorial Guinea.

As a reminder, Ivory Coast knocked Ghana out during a tight finale (0-0). It was during the shots on goal challenge (9-8) that the goalkeeper, Copa Barry, gave the final victory to a whole nation. The last victory of Ivory Coast in the finale of the African Cup of Nations goes back to 1992 in front of the same Ghana.
