Female TechCamp 2015: Opening of the works in Lomé

As announced by Africa Top Success, the edition 2015 of the Female TechCamp opened on Wednesday, 25th March 25th 2015 at the University of Lomé. Initiated by the E2C Togo Association in partnership with the US Embassy in Togo, the meeting will allow about fifty participants of being interested in the science and technological innovations.

Placed under the theme « Innovate, Undertake, Make a commitment », the works of the edition 2015 of Female TechCamp aim at developing entrepreneurial spirit in girls, according to Nadège Afoutou, coordinator of the Camp.

In fact, the potential of the youth matters a lot for the economic development of Togo. That’s why the Embassy of the United States, represented by its Manager of Public Affairs, Mr.David Meron, supports the initiative

This four day meeting will get the participation of about fifty girls who will follow nine speakers on the aforesaid theme. On the technological aspect of the event, an exhibition of inventions was presented by the start-ups present in Lomé.

For the minister, Dédé Ahoéfa Ekoué, « technology is an important tool for economic and social development and democracy« .

The sessions will allow girls to be situated with regard to development, not technological only, but also economic of their country. Auguring the future under good fortune-tellers, the Embassy of the United States is committed to support the next editions of the event.
