Leadership Woman (FL) committee that rewards every year of women of exception and merit, goes beyond its first mission by allowing Togolese girls to follow their higher education in a training school of reference in the sub-region namely, African Institute of Administration and Business Studies (IAEC).
For five years, FL committee has been looking for study opportunities for the most deserving Togolese girls and also the girls the most in need.
Through a partnership linking both entities (FL and IAEC), the scholarships of IAEC are allocated to « Leadership Woman of the year » that attributes them in her turn to the most deserving and needy girl students.
An action that constitutes a key activity for FL during her mandate.
After five years of implementation, FL committee and the management of IAEC proceeded to the renewal of this partnership agreement for the coming five years.
Documents were signed by Mr. Xavier Balouki (photo), chairman of FL committee and Mr. Abissi Amawoe, Managing director of IAEC; this took place during a signing ceremony last Wednesday in prestigeous hotel of the Togolese capital town in the presence of Mrs. Kadjaka Abougnima (Leadership Woman 2010).
Four categories of scholarships are annually granted.
They are two full scholarships for the 1st Level of BTS (Two-Year Technical Degree), a full scholarship for the 2nd Level (Bachelor’s degree) and a full scholarship for the 3rd Level (Master’s degree).
Still in the same framework with the support of IAEC, FL committee annually offers school fees for the universities of Lomé and Kara (UL and UK) to young girls that got their high school diploma and needy girl students who make a request.
According to Mr. Balouki, these multi-form actions aim at contributing to the promotion of education of Togolese girls in general and encouraging high education and woman leadership in particular.
